At Easter, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, which is the ultimate new beginning. Just as the resurrection brings new life to the world, this verse helps remind us that we, too, are called to live in the newness of life that Jesus gives us.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” – John 15:5

Additional Prompt to Enhance Discussion
Jesus says He is like a vine and we are the branches. That means when we stay close to Him by loving others, praying, and choosing kindness, we can grow and do great things! Just like branches grow fruit when they stay connected to the vine, we grow “Fruits of the Spirit” like kindness, love, and forgiveness when we stay close to Jesus.
As we build our "Garden of Goodness," each flower or egg shows how we’re growing in Jesus. When we do kind things, it’s like our garden is blooming with His love!

Supplies: Plastic Easter eggs or paper egg cutouts, slips of paper, markers, stickers, etc.
Just as Easter celebrates new life and renewal, our actions can bring joy, hope, and kindness into the lives of others. When we choose to be kind, we share the love and forgiveness that Jesus showed us.
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."— Ephesians 4:32

Easter is all about new life and giving, just like Jesus gave His life for us so we could have eternal life. He didn’t give just a little—He gave everything! And because He gave so much, we are now able to live in the light of His love and forgiveness.
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”— Luke 6:38

Lesson Outline: Discuss with Students
What does it mean to have a fresh start?
How can we “bloom” into someone who helps others?
Share a time someone was kind to you—or you were kind to someone else.
Additional Prompt to Enhance Discussion
Talk about how Jesus teaches us that when we are kind and give to others—whether it’s sharing a toy, helping a friend, or saying something nice—God sees it and blesses us in return. Just like Jesus gave His whole heart for us, we can show His love by giving and being kind to others. When we give big love, big love comes back to us!
